UPDATE (Jun 30, 2025):Warzone Pacific launches from the same application, Modern Warfare client, as it did before.
The answer to this question is rather unclear at the moment. Call of Duty clearly mentioned in their blog that Warzone Pacific will share thesame engine and techas CoD Vanguard. Whereas in all of the recent Vanguard trailers, it is mentioned that Warzone Pacific willrequire separate a download.
These above statements lead to two most probable scenarios after theintegrationinSeason 1:
As such, nothing is clear at the moment and Warzone might as well stick to the Modern Warfare client. But there is a probability that Warzone may launch from Vanguard.

Although Call of Duty Warzone has been a part of Modern Warfare since launch, it shouldn’t be considered a part of it. Warzone is a separate video game in itself being a different genre i.e., Battle Royale.
Realistically, Warzone should be a separate client. It made more sense in 2020 when Warzone launched via the Modern Warfare client as the assets shared by both games were exactly the same.
But when the Black Ops Cold War and Warzone integration happened, things changed. Warzone then featured assets from both games while being developed on the same engine as Modern Warfare. So when players wanted to switch from BOCW to Warzone, they must start a different game (MW) altogether.
Hopefully the developers will give some update and clarification on this topic soon, and when they do, we’ll make sure to update this article.
