Genshin Impact 2.5 is approaching fast, and a pretty hefty amount of new things are waiting on the horizon, according to leaks for the update. While there’s plenty to look forward to, such as Yae Miko and a new Raiden Shogun boss fight, one exciting piece of information in particular mentions a potential new threat belonging to the Abyss Order—Shadowy Husksare speculated to be a new enemy set to appear in Genshin Impact 2.5.

Shadowy Husks
Well respected Genshin Impact leaker,@Ubatcha1, has revealed bits of information indicating that Shadowy Husks will be making an entrance in Genshin Impact 2.5 as a new menace to the inhabitants of Teyvat. According to leaks, they’ll be found in the wilds aroundNarukami Island, along with appearing inside of theSpiral Abysson its deepest floors. This information still has yet to be confirmed by MiHoYo, but enough data exists within the 2.5 beta to give players an idea of what these imposing figures can do.
Shadowy Husks are dark, humanoid creatures that appear to come inthree variants, each using a different weapon and element—the Pyro flag bearingStandard Bearer, the Hydro lance wieldingLine Breaker, and the Cryo sharpshootingDefender. Based on further information provided, these new enemies will even becapable of creating shields and healingeach other, meaning that players' skills will certainly be put to the test when facing these Abyssal threats.

Another reliable source for Genshin Impact leaks,@projectcelestia, has stated that defeating Shadowy Husks will reward players with a new type of Weapon Ascension Material. If the data collected from the 2.5 Beta is accurate,Gloomy, Dark, and Deathly Statuettescan be obtained and used to upgrade theKirin Bowweapon. Shadowy Husks will be an interesting new enemy with some fun yet challenging mechanics from everything we’ve seen so far.
