Throughout Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1, we are given several seasonal quests from The Scientist, one of the NPCs on the island. One of these quests has two parts: we need to receive the next objective at Logjam Lumberyard, then collect readings from Seismometer locations. Normally, this would be simple. However, we have to collect three readings in one match, which can make this quest more of a challenge.
Objective Guide
Logjam Lumberyard is a highly populated dropzone at the beginning of any match, so it is a good idea to avoid starting this quest right away if you’re hoping to avoid confrontation. However, if the storm circle looks like it’s going to close off the mountain area northwest of Logjam Lumberyard, you’ll want to start this quest as soon as possible.
The first thing you’ll need to do is enter Logjam Lumberyard, a named location in the northwest section of the map. You don’t need to reach a specific point, you just need to enter the area to receive the next part of the quest.
After you visit Logjam Lumberyard and listen to the dialogue from The Scientist, you are then required to go to the mountainous area northwest of Logjam Lumberyard and travel to several locations to collect readings from Seismometers. The Seismometer locations are marked on the map above.

There are several Seismometer locations, but the three easiest ones to get are almost directly west of Logjam Lumberyard (marked by the blue arrows). If you want to complete this quest quickly, you’ll want to grab a vehicle from Logjam Lumberyard as you leave. Even a semi-truck is a good option because it can take more damage than other vehicles.
The quest is complete once you have collected readings from at least three of the Seismometers marked above!
