Magby is a Fire-type Pokémon with decent stats all around. However, you’re not likely looking for one to add to your team; you’re probably looking for one to complete your Pokédex. Baby Pokémon in Legends are oddly more uncommon than their evolved forms, which applies to Magby, too.
Magby can be found where the Magmar are located: onFirespit IslandinCobalt Coastlands. They’re a rare spawn, though you can encounter an Alpha, if you’re lucky. If you don’t see Magby in the area, return to Jubilife Village and then go back to Cobalt Coastlands again. That will reset the spawns on the island.

Magbys flee, so if you see one,savejust in case you fail to capture it. Stay far away from the Magby, and lure it in with an Oran Berry. Use aGreatorUltra Ballon it for the higher capture rate. If it’s surrounded by Magmars and Gravelers, defeat those first. They’re aggressive and will attack you when you get near (or when they get near you). Remember: there are no grasses for you to hide in within Firespit Island.
