Clay Fragments are a drop fromGranilems, a golem-type enemy. These fragments can be used for various crafting purposes, but they’re only dropped from this one enemy type (and one specific gigant zeugal called theFlamewrecker), so you could end up missing out if you don’t fight enough Granilems on your way through the main story.
Granilems can be found in bothTranslida Highwayand theRazum Quarrydungeon, both of which are in Menancia. It seems, however, that Granilems will not begin to spawn in Translida Highway until after you clear the Razum Quarry dungeon. If you’re looking to quickly grind up some Clay Fragments, then our recommendation is to skip-farm for them in Translida Highway.

For those unfamiliar, skip-farming is when you go to a location, get a specific nearby resource, and then fast travel back to that same location to force the resource to respawn. In this instance, we’ll be going to the fast travel point next to thecampfirein Translida Highway. There is a single Granilem directly next to the campsite to the northwest. Normally, skip-farming a single enemy spawn wouldn’t be worth it. But with how close this Granilem is, it ends up being quite good.
Before you start farming away for Clay Fragments, you’ll want to consider equipping a few different accessories. If you picked up the earlyLucky Banglewhile going through Bregon’s quest back in Cyslodia, now would be the time to put that on someone. Likewise, if you have any tier two or higher accessories with the Drop Rate effect, equipping those would make farming go much faster as well.
