After months ofspeculation and rumors, the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition wasofficially announced on Oct. 8. The collection is published by Rockstar games, though developed by Rockstar and Grove Street Games. Anew trailer was then releasedlater in the month that revealed official gameplay footage and release date.
GTA: The Trilogy is slated torelease digitally on Nov. 11for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC, and the Nintendo Switch.Physical copies of the game will be available starting on Dec. 7.Despite earlier reports suggesting the collection could be $70, the collection is listed as being only $59.99.

The trilogy will come with enhanced versions of the iconic Grand Theft Auto games from the PlayStation 2 era—Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. The games are not straight-up remakes built from the ground up. The collection contains more of a polished version of the PS2 titles, with cleaner graphics and improved controls. The collection will incorporate mechanics and control settings more common in recent GTA titles.
