Genshin Impact’s 2.5 Update is closing in quickly, and MiHoYo released quite a bit of information regarding it in their 2.5 Livestream Special. Many exciting things are coming soon, such as new Story Quests and playable characters, along with some fun events and fantastic rewards. One upcoming event involves exploring Enkanomiya’s depths, and equips you with a new and unique gadget to do so—the Bokuso Box.
The Bokuso Box
The Bokuso Box gadget will become available during theThree Realms Gateway Offeringevent in 2.5, meaning you’ll have to wait untilFeb. 16to scoop it up. Enkanomiya is suffering from amysterious corruptionduring this event, and you’ll need this nifty little gadget toprotect yourself from its harmful effects, making the Bokuso Box an extremely useful tool to have.

Corruption in Enkanomiya
A corruption is spreading across the sunken land of Enkanomiya, and it’s up to you to cleanse it. Some Teleport Waypoints found here will be afflicted by this plague, making themunusable until you unseal them, using the Bokuso Box to purify them once again. It’s currently unclear if other mechanisms will be sealed as well, but its safe to assume that Teleport Waypoints aren’t the only things afflicted by corruption.
Various enemies will be empowered by darkness during this event,slowly becoming stronger over time. These fearsome foes are difficult to defeat, and some can only be taken down bypurging them with the Bokuso Box. The Box’s energy reserves willdeplete as time goes on, however, meaning you’ll need to keep an eye on it before taking on any corrupted opponents.
Learning Bokuso Arts and unlocking new abilities
Your characters will beexposed to Corrosion’s harmful effectsduring this event, causing their Health to slowly drain away. Fortunately for your team, this cripplingstatus effect can be removedby visiting mysterious statues found around the area. They do much more than just heal your characters or recharge the Box, though—you can alsouse these statues to access new abilitiesfor your Bokuso Box.
Similar to Statues of The Seven, theBokuso Box’s level can be upgradedby using the statues found during Three Realms Gateway Offering. NewBokuso Box abilitiescan be accessed by usingLight Realm Sigilsfound during this event, such as increased Corrosion Resistance, giving you an advantage while exploring this hazardous area. Light Realm Sigils appear to be a key component to surviving this event, so be sure to collect any you come across.
In addition to new abilities,a variety of buffscalled Bokuso Artscan be unlocked for the Bokuso Box. To learn these Arts, however, you’ll need to collectLight Realm Coresfrom the Luxurious Chests found during the event. These handybuffs will provide a huge advantageto your characters during this event, so spend some time hunting down Light Realm Cores to put the odds in your favor!
