The coveted Reactive Legendary weapon skin lies at the end of every Apex Legends Battle Pass in both of its color variants. The thing that makes Reactive weapons stand apart from the usual Legendary skins is that, in addition to being a unique weapon shape, it also comes with its own set of animations and unique sound effects. That said, those aspects of Reactive weapons have temporarily been removed from the game.

Due to a glitch present in the new update of Apex Legends for Season 12: Defiance, all Reactive qualities in weapons, animation, and SFX have been preemptively removed from the game for the time being.

Reactive skins themselves are still equipable, and you can use them like any other Legendary weapon skin, but they just will not have their Reactive qualities. The developers have stated that they will let players know when these weapon skins are restored to their usual Reactive state on theirtwitter.
