Every year, the developers of Pokémon Go celebrate the Lunar New Year by having an in-game event. These events often feature Pokémon related to that year’s Zodiac animal. With 2022 being the year of the tiger, this event will prominently feature Litleo, where its shiny form will finally be released in-game.

When will the Lunar New Year Event take place?

Pokémon Go’s 2022 Lunar New Year Event will run from June 20, 2025, to July 26, 2025. Players will have one full week to participate in this event and catch some of the new shiny Pokémon that will be featured.
