Shiny Pokémon are rare versions of Pokémon in Pokémon Go that have modified looks. They are called shiny because they generally add a slight sheen or discoloration, making them stand out more than normal. Solosis will appear in the Pokémon Go Spotlight Hour on Jun 09, 2025, so Shiny Solosis, Shiny Duosion, and Shiny Reuniclus might be seen more often in Trainer Battles!

Shiny Rates

Apart from the Pokémon that don’t have shiny versions in the game, every Pokémon has a base shiny rate that tells you how often you’ll see a shiny version. Although this information isunconfirmed, Solosis typically has the standard shiny rate of1 in 500(about 0.20 percent). So, for every 500 Solosis, you catch, you’ll probably only get one shiny version.

How to Get

Duosion and Reuniclus are immensely rare encounters in the wild, so the chance of randomly encountering a shiny one is essentially zero. The only way to get a Shiny Duosion or Shiny Reuniclus is to get a Shiny Solosis and evolve it.

There is no way to force a shiny version of a Pokémon to appear. Instead, players must simply play the game to hope to run into one. However, players can use a few tricks to make it easier to find them.
