Breakwaters, an action-survival game, is a new title from Soaring Pixels Games. Fans of the survival genre will know that there are several games other games that feature open-world settings for players to explore as they attempt to overcome the elements. Knowing that other survival games are sometimes open world begs the question: is Breakwaters an open-world experience?
According to theBreakwaters Kickstarter, the game offersa vast world for players to explore.Whilethe game boasts some similarities to open-world games, it has several key differences. The Biomes and islands in Breakwaters are procedurally generated for each player, meaning no two game worlds are alike.The Early Access version of Breakwaters will ship with the Tropical, Rocky, Pine, and Swamp Biomes for players to explore.

Not only is the game’s world creation dynamic, but almost everything in the environment can be destroyed or collected as players explore.
