Genshin Impact’s long-awaited Lantern Rite Festival has finally arrived in Liyue, with quite a few new and fantastic limited-time events available for you to try out. One event in particular tasks the Traveler with helping to make some fireworks for the annual festivities, though you’ll need to get your hands on some dazzling new gadgetry to get this important job done—theLaunch Tube.

Using the Launch Tube Gadget
For the duration of the Lantern Rite Festival, the Launch Tube can be used to smelt fireworks and earnAffluence Talismans. It’s anon-limited-time gadget, however, meaning that you’ll still be able to modify your own fireworks and launch them into the sky even after the event has ended. The Launch Tube can be obtained by taking part in theFlameplume Starflowersevent, which is available fromJan. 25 to Feb. 12.
After you’ve obtained a Launch Tube of your very own, simply use the gadget in your inventory to initiate theFlameplume Starflowers: Production Challengeand start adjusting the quality of fireworks. You’ll have to use various smelting techniques to modify thefirework’s color, size, and height parametersto the ideal zone, increasing its overallQuality Rating.
A higher rating will yield more rewards, and each Production Challengecan be attempted an endless number of timesduring the Lantern Rite Festival event. Be sure to use this to your advantage in order to collect some worthwhile collectibles, such asPrimogemsand unique fireworks, before the event’s duration ends.

Smelting techniques and effects
To create the perfect firework, you’ll have to utilize specialsmelting techniques.Initially, only two techniques will be available for use, though you can unlock more abilitiesby reaching the challenge’s target Quality Rating. When used, each technique willconsume a certain amount of endurance, and smelting will end once all of your endurance has run out.
On top of draining your endurance, a portion of the Launch Tube’sFirepower Value will be consumedeach time a smelting technique is used, changing the Launch Tube’s flame status. When the Firepower Value is atMedium or Full Fire, smelting will provide a medium and large bonus to the parameter’s Quality Rating, respectively.
Each smelting attempt has the possibility of having an effect calledCurious Efficacyoccur—the current parameter’squality will automatically go up to be within the ideal zoneupon the next smelting technique used. Smelting can be a little tricky to get the hang of at first, but you’ll have abouttwo and a half weeksto practice before this exciting event ends!
