Instead, you will need to make a bed to save yourgame manually. It’s also worth noting that you can also save your game via a bedroll in the hut you start next to at the start of the game.

But if you make a basefar awayfrom this hut, you will need a bed. That said, you’re able to make a bed by going into the build menu and locating utility and storage.
Under utility and storage, you will have the option to build and place a bed for25 wood and 20 fiber.You can get wood from chopping down trees as you would expect.
You will need to locate green bush-like plants and chop them down with your bowie knifeto get fiber. Once you have all of the materials, craft and place the bed and then click on it. Doing so will allow you to save your game via asave game optionthat will appear on the right side of your screen.
