To get rabies in DogLife and complete the Foam at the Mouth achievement, you will need to encounter a wild animal. The best way to encounter a wild animal is by being either ahousehold petor a street dog.
Start by rerolling your character or selecting either street or household as your starting background in the game. Then once your character is created, age up until you have an encounter with an animal such as a wild boar.
When you encounter one of these animals, you will need to make sure the encounter ends with them attacking you. If they attack you, you will have a high chance to contract rabies, and when you get rabies, you will complete the relevant challenge.

After you get rabies, you’re able to also attempt the other achievements that involve the disease. For example, to complete both the Infected and Rabid Creatureachievements, you will need to have rabies and give it to both an animal and human.
For the Infected achievement, you will need to give rabies to another animal, you can do this by attacking another animal without killing them. The same goes for the Rabid Creature achievement, but instead of an animal, you are attacking ahumaninstead.
