Forza Horizon 5 has had a rocky start in terms of its launch. Despite players enjoying the new content and setting for the latest installment, it has also had a lot of players frustrated with receiving error codes and failed downloads. Here are some tips if you are encountering these!
Unfortunately, there are a few things that can contribute to the game not downloading properly. Servers can be an issue with increased downloads and background apps, which we covered in ourForza Horizon 5 PC crashes fix article.
It saysDownloadingin the image above; it will sayPendingorErrorif something prevents it from installing properly.
If you are certain that background apps are not a problem, follow these instructions to try and get your game download off the ground!
Go through all three apps listed above, as any one of them can be the problem. If afterResettingandRestartingyour PC you find that you can download the game, then all is well!

If you’re like us then this was not the ultimate fix you wanted, then something a little more in-depth is needed.Gaming Servicescan stop working, and because you cannot uninstall this through the apps page, you will need to go a little deeper into your system.

Instead of typing the command, you can simply copy and paste it intoPowershellto ensure that you have input the command correctly.
In our case, we had to do this twice, and after starting the computer back up the second time, some DIVX features were installed and refreshed. Hopefully, it will only take one attempt, but do not be disheartened if it does not work at first. Try again!
