Golbat evolves into Crobat through a very special stat called friendship. Friendship is an invisible stat in most Pokémon games that can affect a variety of things. In Golbat’s case, this special stat can induce evolution once it’s high enough.
The best ways to raise Golbat’s friendship
By far the fastest way to increase friendship with a Pokémon is to beat other Pokémon with them. Take Golbat out for a night of butchering some randomGrass,Bug,Fairy, andFightingtypes and it will love you for it.
Be Warned:if Golbat faints, you’ll lose a chunk of friendship with it. Avoid using bitter medicines like theRemedyas well.

If all else fails, just spending time with Golbat will soften its heart. Keep it in your party as you wander around, send it out to bash rocks and trees, send it out just to say hi—just be a pal to it. It’s not much, but all these things will slowly increase Golbat’s friendship.
Once Golbat is content enough to evolve, you’ll see a bright yellow ring around its Pokéball icon in your menu. Go to Golbat, selectEvolve, and give your new Crobat a warm welcome!
