The menu you bring up is also the menu for saving, quitting, and other options. Be careful not to useEscor theStartbutton for this, as by default, that button controls theAutofunction. WithAutoturned on, the game will effectively play itself, moving units for you and acting without your control or input. To disable this, pressB,Circle,orSpace.
