Horizon Forbidden West follows right after Zero Dawn, and it features several old machines that Aloy came across in the previous game. The Lancehorn is an Acquisition class machine in Horizon Forbidden West, and players will need to know how to defeat them to farm resources.
In Horizon Forbidden West, every machine has specific weak points and is often vulnerable to special elemental damage. Lancehorns have strong horns and an agile body, but there are a few weak points: theirDrill Horns,Resource Canisters, andChillwater Canisters. It is also weak against Fire-damage attacks but resists Frost-damage attacks.

Ideally, it’s best to tear off components like theResource CanistersandChillwater Canistersby striking them with Tear-damage arrows. Players can also shoot Fire arrows at these machines to bring them down. The following components are available after defeating Lancehorns:
Players cannot harvest Chillwater from Lancehorns without detaching its components first. Using Silent Strike on Lancehorns destroys these detachable components and removes them from the loot.
