The Trail of Drake and Serpent is one of the subquests that appear in The Subterranean Trials of Drake and Serpent World Quest. The afterimage of Aru will send you on a trial to retrieve three Reins of Revival, which would then be stitched together with the Golden Bridle. you’re able to obtain one of them in this subquest.
Start by heading to the area marked by the quest marker in Evernight Temple. You’ll be asked to follow the trail of the Bathysmal Vishaps. These are essentially three Investigate spots inside the cave-like ruin.
Interact with all three Investigate spots to proceed. The quest will then prompt you to enter the secret room by activating a nearby mechanism.
Rockfond Rifthound Whelps will appear as you approach the area. Defeat them to unlock the mechanism, which will, in turn, open the secret room.

You’ll find a puzzle in the middle of the secret room. The mechanisms on the left and right can be activated by interacting with them, while the one in the middle has to be Attacked with a Normal Attack to activate.

Once the puzzle is solved, you should be able to head deeper into the secret room. Defeat the Rifthounds to unlock the Chest and obtain the Quest ItemReins of Revival Fragment (Temple).
