GRE Anomalies are optional boss arenas found in Dying Light 2. These fights can be tough, with many biters and virals getting in the way while you try to take down the Anomaly. Here is the best way to take down the Anomaly for those sweet rewards.

How to beat the GRE Anomaly

The GRE Anomalies can only be fought during the night, in most cases, there is a safe zone nearby that you can sleep in if you need night to fall. The Anomaly itself has three attacks, ranged, melee, and an AOE infected grenadestyle attack that will deal damage all around the Anomaly if you get too close.

The Anomaly will try to jump away from you and attack from ranged, while the biters and virals hunt you down. The arenas will have trucks and buildings encompassing them for you to use as high ground to avoid the biters.Stay on the high ground and use the weapons of opportunitiessuch as the spears marked with a green light. There will also be gas canisters that can be ignited and thrown to clear out the infected if they get too close or to deal decent damage to the Anomaly.

If you run out of weapons of opportunities, employ quickhit and run tacticsby using a parkour attack or quick melee attacks, but don’t linger near the Anomaly as it will use its grenade attack. Once the GRE Anomaly is defeated, be sure to collect anyinfected trophiesfrom the corpses and the inhibitorfrom the main building.
