In Apex Legends, avoiding death generally means avoiding losing the game. In Control mode, that isn’t really the case. Instead, avoiding death is all about preserving your Rating. Your Rating is per life and will grow as you help your team on their way to victory. you’re able to view the current Ratings on the Rating Legend, but don’t get too caught up in the Ratings, focus on the game at hand.
Growing Your Rating
Your Rating grows each time you perform an action that helps your team without dying. These acts are as follows:

As your Rating grows, there are rewards too. First of all, whoever has the highest Rating becomes theRatings Leader, which is the Control mode equivalent to the Kill Leader. You will alsoupgrade your weaponsas you get a higher rating, which is the main reason you’ll want to stay alive from a tactical standpoint. That said, from a glory standpoint, being the Rating Leader sure looks nice.
