When trying to host a Project Zomboid server, you are going to need to allocate RAM. To figure out how much RAM you will need, you need to calculate the number of players you’ll have on your server.

In short, you will need to multiply500MBper playeryou have on your server, plus abase 2GB. So If you plan on having two players, you will need to have at least 3GBs of RAM—1GB for the two players and 2GB for the base server requirement.

But if you want the smoothest experience, we always recommend adding 1 or 2 GBs extra if your system can handle it. you may also use the simple calculation of(500MB * number of players) + 2GBto figure out RAM requirements for different numbers of players.
