Total War: Warhammer 3 has already rocketed expectations for multiplayer sky high, with its teases about the multiplayer campaigns with eight players and more focused mini-campaigns. But on Feb. 9, developer Creative Assembly revealed the new simultaneous turns system in Total War: Warhammer 3. But how will these simultaneous turns work?

When you start a new Realm of Chaos campaign in Multiplayer, the default option will have simultaneous turns switched on. With simultaneous turns, all players will take their turn at the same time.

For campaigns where you’re competing against other players, movement will become a game of cat and mouse, as you’re able to move your armies quickly out of the way of pursuing forces.

When battles commence, all players are drawn into spectate automatically. Players on the same team can be given units to control, while unaligned players can take control of any of the AI-controlled forces, whether friend or foe.

This means there’s never a dull moment in the simultaneous mode. But equally, not everyone may like this option. You can switch off the simultaneous turns in theMultiplayer Campaign Game Settingsscreen by turning simultaneous turns toOff.
