Treyarch introduced an entirely new Perk System for Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies. As you complete objectives, new areas will open up and provide you with access to different Perk Fountains. However, the way these Perks will function is very different from previous Zombies installments. Here is how Perks work in Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies.
These Perks will work on a tier-based system. Once a Perk Fountain is unlocked, the first tier of that perk will be free to the player. Then players will have the opportunity toupgrade that perkto Tier Four. Each tier increases the advantages the perk gives, but the upgrades don’t come cheap. Tier Two will cost 2,500 Essence, Tier Three will cost 5,000 Essence, and Tier Four will cost players 7,500 Essence.
There are five Perk Fountains available inDer Anfang.

This system also introduced a first for the Zombies game mode. Since the first tier of each perk is free, you won’t lose their base-level upgrades when you go down. However, if a player goes down, they willlose one tier from each of their perks. This can be devesting on higher rounds, especially since upgrades from Tier Three to Tier Four will cost a substantial amount of Essence.
So there you have it, that is how Perks work in Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies. The tier-based system allows you to pick and choose what upgrades are important to you and introduces certain flexibility into the game, something the Zombies game mode has always been lacking.
