The official Forza Horizon Twitter account posted a tweet revealing that the latest installment in the franchise has had the biggest first-week launch in Xbox and Xbox Game Pass history. Over 10 million players have played Forza Horizon 5 in its first week, making it one of the fastest-selling games in the franchise.

Xbox head Phil Spencer had earlier reported that more than 4.5 million players logged into the game 24 hours after launch, which is the largest launch day for any Xbox Game Studios game ever. The 4.5 million on launch day was also three times more than the peak concurrent players that were on Forza Horizon 4.

Forza Horizon 5 was released back on Nov. 9 and was praised for its realistic graphics and its polished gameplay. The game takes place in a fictitious part of Mexico that is inspired heavily by Guanajuato City and the Mayan temples. The players' goal is to become an influencer by competing in races, collecting high-end cars, and completing tasks to collect Accolades.
