The Eight Locales Over Mountains and Seas is an event that runs fromFeb. 4, 2022 to May 11, 2025. It takes you back to Chinju Forest, where the sealed bake-danuki Ioroi asks you to take the young Kichiboushi out on an adventure. PlayersAdventure Rank 30 and abovewho have completed the following quests are eligible to participate:
Two Cities' Recommendations
This event is divided into seven parts—one for each day. However, they must be completed in order. After completingSnowswept FairytaleandSolilioquy of Distant Island Peaks, you can unlock the third day’s adventure:Two Cities' Recommendations.
Initiate the quest from the event menu and head to The Good Hunter in Monstadt. Speak with Sara, then sit down for a meal with Kichiboushi. Once that’s done, head to the Anemo Archon statue in the middle of the clearing in front of the Chapel.

Climb up to the statue’s iconic hands andtake a photoof Kichiboushi. After, you’ll be prompted to continue your journey in Liyue.
Head to the Wanmin Restaurant, only to find that they’ve been fully booked by Kaeya. A dialogue will prompt with Monstadt gourmets Freki and Geri, who mistakenly booked two restaurants at the same time. They agree to give you their reservation for the Liuli Pavilion.
Follow the quest marker to the Liuli Pavilion, speak with the person in front, thenenter the buildingand head into the dining area to prompt a meal with Kichiboushi. Once that’s done, follow the quest marker to the mountains north of Liyue Harbor andtake a photoof the bake-danuki to commemorate the occasion.
