The Eight Locales Over Mountains and Seas is an event that runs fromFeb. 4, 2022, to Jul 14, 2025. It takes you back to Chinju Forest, where the sealed bake-danuki Ioroi asks you to take the young Kichiboushi out on an adventure. The Wonders of Adeptal Amber
After completing the first three parts of the event,Snowswept Fairytale,Solilioquy of Distant Island Peaks, andTwo Cities' Recommendations, you can unlock The Wonders of Adeptal Amber from the event menu.
Initiate the quest and follow the quest marker to Mt. Hulao, by the Mountain Shaper’s abode. After a dialogue with Kichiboushi, you’ll be asked totake a photoof him. You need to ensure that the photo has the right angle, which is indicated by a message that says “Camera is adjusted to the correct angle” at the top of the Kamera screen.
Once that’s done, follow Kichiboushi around Mt. Hulao. When you lose sight of him, listen to his bells, which will get louder as you grow nearer.
Kichiboushi will eventually disappear. Head to the highlighted area in the mini-map and find the green pavilion by the edge of the cliff. Break the amber beside it (circled in the image above) usingGeo Damageor aClaymoreto free Kichiboushi. Another dialogue will prompt before signalling the end of the quest.
