The Eight Locales Over Mountains and Seas is an event that runs fromFeb. 4, 2022 to Jul 16, 2025. It takes you back to Chinju Forest, where the sealed bake-danuki Ioroi asks you to take the young Kichiboushi out on an adventure. PlayersAdventure Rank 30 and abovewho have completed the following quests are eligible to participate:
When both prerequisites have been fulfilled, you’ll receive an Event Quest calledEight Locales Over Mountains and Seas. It will prompt you to head to Chinju Forest and complete dialogues with Ioroi and Kuchiboushi. Once that’s done, you can initiate the event tasks from the event menu.
Snowswept Fairytale
Only the Snowswept Fairytale is open on the first day. The rest will open up as the event progresses. ClickGet Questto initiate a mini-quest that starts by picking up Kuchiboushi from the Chinju Forest.
Follow the quest marker to your destination in Dragonspine. Kuchiboushi is in a mood to play, so he’ll keep flitting from one place to the next. Follow him to progress, andlisten to his bellif you’re having trouble spotting him against the snowscape. He’ll eventually stop by the edge of a cliff after transforming into atorch.

Use aPyro Skillto light up the torch and force Kuchiboushi out of his transformation. After, follow the quest marker to the nearby mountain, where the bake-danuki will transform into apile of snow.
Likewise, use aPyro Skillon the pile of snow to disperse Kuchiboushi’s disguise. Follow him for a few steps, and you’ll be prompted totake his photo.
Once that’s done, The Great Snowboar King will interrupt your adventure. Defeat the boss, then speak with Kuchiboushi before heading back to the Chinju Forest to report the day’s happenings to Ioroi.
