In Elex II, players explore the world of Magalan in a sci-fi adventure role-playing game. Skyands, the main antagonist in the new game, is threatening to change the planet dramatically. To defeat the Skyands, players must unite the citizens of Magalan.
Since the world is so big, players must use a jetpack to travel through it all. Even with its size, it is still a single-player experience, sono multiplayerwill be available. This includesno localor online co-op.

Despite the lack of multiplayer, players can still have companions, though they were limited to one at a time in the original Elex. The player’s other companions would reside at a campsite and could be swapped out whenever needed.
The developers have not stated whether they will carry over the companion limit to Elex II. Therefore, a larger party may be possible, but it is unlikely, since a larger party would lessen the difficulty.
