Shiny Pokémon are rare versions of Pokémon in Pokémon Go that have modified looks. They are called shiny because they generally add a slight sheen or discoloration, making them stand out more than normal. In Diglett’s case, the biggest difference between the normal and shiny versions is that normal Diglett has a pinkish nose and shiny Diglett has a blueish nose.

Shiny Rates

Apart from the Pokémon that don’t have shiny versions in the game, every Pokémon has a base shiny rate that tells you how often you’ll see a shiny version. Although this information isunconfirmedfor Diglett, it is believed to have the standard shiny rate of1 in 500(about 0.20 percent). So, for every 500 Diglett you catch, you’ll probably only get one shiny version.

How to Get

Dugtrio is a rare encounter in the wild, so the chance of randomly encountering a shiny one is extremely low. The best way to get a Shiny Dugtrio is to get a Shiny Diglett and evolve it.

Unfortunately, you cannot force a shiny Pokémon to appear. However, players can use a few tricks to make it easier to find them.
