Treyarch has announced that Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies will have dedicated servers at launch. This means that Zombies is expected to run more smoothly and have less connectivity and server issues. The Zombies server will be dedicated to all Zombies game types, including Solo, Private, and Public.

This is a major feature for Zombies because players will no longer be subject to server issues associated with only Warzone or multiplayer. One of the main server issues with Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War was that Zombies mode was also affected when Warzone and multiplayer servers had issues or were overloaded with users.

Along with dedicated servers, Zombies will have a shorter kick time for inactive players, which is only a placeholder while the “Server Pause” feature is being worked on. The Server Pause feature allows developers to work on server problems without completely shutting down the server, so players can still play while issues are resolved.

Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies is expected to have a rich storyline that intertwines with the previous Zombies installment in Cold War. Players will take on Oberfuhrer Wolfram Von List, the new commander of an Undead Army. Updates to Zombies will progress the storyline with new events to keep the action fresh.
