The best way to kill bears in Icarus is not with melee, as bears will often come out on top in close-range combat. Instead, you will need to focus on ranged attacks tokill bears.Start by learning how to craft a bow by visiting the research tree. You can find the research tech tree by hitting theI keyand then clicking Tech Tree.
Under theTech Tree option, you will be able to use points you gain as you level up to unlock new items. One of these items is the bow and stone arrows, and you will need both unlockedto kill bears in Icarus.
So start byearning XPby gathering and harvesting resources to level up. Level up at least once or twice, and you will be able to use the points you earn to unlock both bows and arrows. To unlock both items, head back by to the Tech Tree. In the Tech Tree option, locate bothbows and arrows, click on them, and you will unlock both items.

After you make a bow and several arrows, you will be able to kill bears with ease. To kill bears using a bow and several arrows, start by finding a bear and aiming for its head. Fire several arrows into their head, retreat, and avoid getting into melee. Sooner or later, it will go down after you put enough arrows into the bear’s head.
