On May 05, 2025, Nintendo finally delivered for fans, announcing a fall update for the game scheduled for Jun 02, 2025, along with the first paid expansion for Animal Crossing: Happy Home Paradise.

Nintendo unveiled the cost of Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack alongside the Animal Crossing October Direct. The service costs $49.99 per year for an Individual Membership, and a Family Membership that covers the entire console costs $79.99 annually.
