One of the most noticeable mechanics in Age of Empires IV is the lists of pseudo-achievements called masteries. The Rus Mastery list encourages players to explore all the mechanics of the Rus civilization, with a special focus on their cavalry units and hunting abilities.
Upon completing each task in the Rus Mastery list, you are rewarded with 1000 experience points. You unlock information about the history of people, places, and things that influenced the course of history for the civilization.
