One of the most noticeable mechanics in Age of Empires IV is the lists of pseudo-achievements called masteries. The Holy Roman Empire Mastery list encourages players to explore all the Holy Roman Empire civilization mechanics, with a special focus on their strong infantry and powerful religious units.
Upon completing each task in the Holy Roman Empire Mastery list, you are rewarded with 1000 experience points. You unlock information about the history of people, places, and things that influenced the course of history for civilization.
