In Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker, the Shared FATE system incentivizes running the various FATE encounters in every zone of the expansion. FATEs are timed combat encounters that randomly spawn in zones. Completing a FATE gives you experience, Bicolor Gemstones, and some Grand Company seals. They’re great for leveling up characters but also have another function.

By completing FATEs, you level up your Shared FATE for that area. Each area has three Ranks of Shared FATE progress. As you progress through the Ranks, you’ll unlock access to rewards, such as crafting materials, Riding Maps, and Minions and Glamour accessories at higher ranks.
