Total War: Warhammer 3 has done a good job of bringing together more factions from the series. Those who own the first two games and the third could accurately simulate the Tabletop battle game with all of the factions. Keep in mind that you need to own the previous games to receive every faction.

Each Total War: Warhammer game has a limited number of factions, and the sequels do not include the previous factions in the base game. If you want to play the factions from either the original or 2, you have to own the original or 2. When the game detects that the player owns an older game (or DLC), it will bring upgraded versions of those factions into the new game.

Total War: Warhammer 3 will bring these factions in:

Each of the last four members of this list, Khorne, Nurgle, Tzeentch, and Slaanesh, are Chaos Gods. There will be sub-factions for each God, and it seems like this is a way to give players more of everything in Warhammer.

Are Chaos Dwarfs or Hobgoblins included in Total War: Warhammer 3?

Although the Total War: Warhammer Reddit is buzzing with rumors, there is no confirmation that these races will be added. These two are important to note because they may be announced right before release or as DLC later. Because DLC can always be made, nobody can really predict which races will not be in the game.

How many DLC factions from the first two games will be added to Total War: Warhammer 3?

As stated before, just like in Total War: Warhammer 2, you can bring the previous game’s DLC into the grand campaign of Total War: Warhammer 3. Players who want a list of all that came with the original two games can find it below.
